Sleeping angel...

Here's a little video of our sleeping angel while he appears to be dreaming. If only he slept this well all the time!! It may not be the most exciting video...but aren't sleeping babies so adorable? Well, we think so anyway!

4 month update

Gavin had his 4 month well check at Dr. Trubelhorn's today. He weighed 13 lbs 15 oz and was 25 inches long. His head is still a small 16 inches and in the 11th percentile. He also got his four month shots and he was not a happy baby. They made him very sleepy and fussy! The Dr. was not too concerned about his flat head. She seems to think it will correct itself as he gets older. She did confirm Gavin is tongue tied and referred us to a specialist to consult about getting his tongue clipped. We are hoping it can be done under just sedation and not general anesthesia.

Mmm...what's this stuff?

This was my first attempt at trying rice cereal. I had no idea what I was supposed to do with it so I just spit it out. It was WAY different than my bottle and I am not really sure I liked it very much. Maybe next time!

My first Mother's Day!

Yesterday was my Mommy's first Mother's Day. With Daddy's help, I bought her a really pretty necklace. It is sterling silver and has a heart shaped locket that holds my birthstone, the Garnet. It just so happens that red is one of Mommy's favorite colors.

We also celebrated Mother's Day with both sets of grandparents and other family ( as you can see in the pictures below). We ate at Buca Di Beppo the day before Mother's Day with Grandma and Grandpa Pusztai and the next day we went to Grandma and Grandpa Parker's house.

Mother's Day thought...

So, I know a lot of moms complain that they don't get what they want for Mother's Day. All I can say is that I feel really blessed to have such a wonderful family. It may sound trite, but all I want is a happy, healthy family. Therefore, even though I am sitting here at work on Mother's Day, you will not hear one complaint from me. I see these cancer patients come in for chemo and YES! EVEN SOME OF THEM ARE MOMS. I don't think this is how they want to spend their Mother's Day, but yet here they are, getting poison injected into their bodies. One patient stands out in particular to me. She is a 29 yr old single mom of a 3 yr old with metastatic melanoma (even spreading to her brain). I can't imagine being so young, having a little one and dealing with such a prognosis. I feel so lucky to have everything I have in life and I can't wait to go home and spend my first Mother's Day with Gavin and his Daddy. Happy Mother's Day everyone!!

My newest friend...

This is my friend Addison and I hangin' out! She's 2 months older!

I'll share my toys with her!

I think she likes me!

But really, right now, I just like my fingers!

Went to Daddy's work!

This was my first time seeing Daddy at work!! I am not sure what I think of these headphones. Everyone says I look like my Daddy. What do you think?
