A typical day home
"poop explosion." That is never fun!!
Mommy likes to carry me around in her carrier when I get fussy! That is pretty much what we do all day at home and we just repeat a variation of the cycle after each nap.
Adventures w/ Froggy Part 2
Hopefully this "Froggy Friend" video is slightly more entertaining, but I can't promise.

He had his surgery
Poor little Gavin was so upset after he woke up from his sedation. We aren't sure if he was in pain or it was a reaction to the drugs or maybe it was a little of both. He cried really hard for about one hour straight and on and off for around another two hours. The nurses gave him demerol and that still didn't really help much. His tongue seemed pretty sore, but it is slowly getting better. He did great before the surgery though. He had no problems letting the nurses take his weight, pulse, temp..etc. and he didn't even cry when they took him off for surgery. Although Mommy sure felt like crying when they took him away!

Surgery
Gavin's tongue tie procedure will be done tomorrow morning at St. Joe's at 7:45am. We have to be there bright and early (6:15am) and he can't eat after 1:45am. We'll see how well that goes because if you know Gavin then you know when he's hungry he SCREAMS!! Hopefully he will be able to hold off and not scream too much in the waiting room. haha!! Wish us luck!

Letter to my Daddy...
Dear Daddy,
You were one of the first faces I saw upon coming into this world. When I see your face now, I light up and smile. I recognized your voice right away and it always comforts me.
You were one of the first faces I saw upon coming into this world. When I see your face now, I light up and smile. I recognized your voice right away and it always comforts me.
You love me no matter what I do. You wipe away my tears and hold me close. I know you will be there to pick me up when I fall and lift my spirits when I am down.
You are my book of life and from you I will learn the rules of right and wrong. I can count on you because you are a great provider and a wonderful man. I feel so lucky to have you as my Daddy and mentor. With your guidance, I hope to someday become an amazing man, just like you. Happy Father's Day to the best Daddy a baby could have!
Love,
Gavin

Tongue Tied...

A while ago my Mommy and Daddy found out that I have ankyloglossia (otherwise known as "tongue tie"). I saw an ear nose and throat specialist yesterday and he confirmed that I will need a minor surgery to get it fixed. I will be going to St. Joseph's hospital on June 17th early in the am to have it repaired. The doctor says it is a really simple procedure that will only be done under minimal sedation. Mommy is still a little nervous, but she knows it will probably all turn out fine. In the picture above, you can see that when I stick out my tongue it indents in the middle. Pretty soon I will have a tongue that looks like everyone else's!! Then I will be able to eat solid foods even better. I can't wait!

I wish I could spend more of the day with you, but at least you get to be with your adorable little son (Gavin please be good for Daddy). I love you with all my heart!
