Hello Daddy!

Daddy, since you are at work all day during the week you miss a lot of my play time so I wanted to say hi and send you a little video and some pictures. I haven't wanted to nap very much today so we have been playing more than usual. Love ya Daddy!

I was REALLY trying to crawl again!!

Today was a good day!

Gavin was in such a good mood today that he didn't cry once ALL day. That has NEVER happened! He kept looking at Mommy and laughing the whole day. Who knows why he thought Mommy was so funny. Of course, he did cry a few minutes ago after he realized he was in his crib and supposed to be sleeping, but that won't count since it's night time. Nights without him crying in his crib every few hours are rare. In addition to being so happy, Gavin also got up on all fours and rocked for the first time today. He is on his way to crawling!! We think about another 2-3 weeks, but we won't push it! Here is a video of him trying to crawl, but he didn't quite make in on all fours in this one:

Six month Stats

Gavin had his six month check-up today at Dr. Trubelhorn's office. He is our little string bean for sure! He weighed 15 lbs 15 oz. and was 28 inches long. So he was in the 91st percentile for height and 19th percentile for weight. He still has a small head measuring 16.75 cm (the 16th percentile). They checked his iron levels and they were within normal limits. He also had three more shots and did really great this time. He only cried for a second until Daddy picked him up. The doctor thought Gavin seemed a little quiet and asked if he babbles yet. I told her he doesn't, but since he blows raspberries and coos she did not seem concerned. I think he just gets quiet around strangers like his Mom. He should be babbling by 7 months though. The Dr. also wants us to try regular formula and see how he does. That should be interesting! I am a little nervous to take him off of Alimentum, but it will save Grandma Parker and us a lot of money.

Second time swimming!

Gavin also got to try out the pool again today at his Great Grandpa's 90th birthday party. He definitely enjoyed swimming with Daddy more this time than at St. Pete Beach. They spent about 30-40 minutes in the pool.

Happy 90th Birthday!

Today was my Great Grandpa Grof's 90th birthday celebration. My Mommy got to take the day off of work and celebrate with us. It was a great day! Great Grandpa looked like he was having a good time and he even got to hold me for a few minutes in his wheelchair. I missed a nap so I was a little grumpy, but it was good to spend time with him.

Happy Half Birthday!

I can't believe our little angel is 6 months old today!! Half of year has already gone by and I don't know where time went. Six months has never gone by so fast. Our lives have changed so much and now I can't imagine being without my little baby boy. No more rushing out of the house quickly, sleeping in, eating slowly, wiping just our own butts and doing whatever we want ! He is worth every sacrifice though.
In just six more short months he will no longer be a baby. He will be a TODDLER! Can you believe that? Gavin as a toddler! Watch out world! This day is bittersweet. At least I know I still have six more months to cuddle my sweet baby (or as long as he lets me, haha!).

My Mommy is so excited because after sleeping MUCH better last night...


I am in a great mood today, but still no teeth! That is all I wanted to say. Going to go play now!!

I'm a fussy baby lately

It has not been a good week for me. Mommy and Daddy think I have a cold and I am possibly teething. All I know is that when I wake up every hour or two at night I am uncomfortable and I cry for someone to come help me! Sleeping is very hard for me to accomplish right now. I do still enjoy playing with my toys and rolling on my belly and I manage to smile a lot when I am doing those activities .
I also had a lot of fun yesterday evening. I went to my cousin's (Katie and Bryce) house for Katie's birthday and I forgot about my pain for a while. My cousins can always get me to giggle and smile. Bryce played with me on the floor and showed me how to crawl. I really tried to do it, but I am just not quite strong enough. Mommy thinks if I keep trying that I may start to crawl in a month or so.

Went to the Dr...

I finally took Gavin to the doctor today because he has been congested for months with rattling in his chest and coughing. Also, the past few nights he has been waking up every hour at night crying and not wanting to nap much during the day. I am getting tired fast. The doctor thinks (as I have been suspecting) that he has allergies. He said it can be to anything so we need to try to figure out if there are any triggers. He wants us to investigate for the next few months until he does the IGG and IGE blood testing. I am not sure how we can "figure out" what he is allergic to because he is basically congested ALL THE TIME. The only time he wasn't was today at the Drs office (figures, huh?). Anyway, now Mommy has a sore throat so we are wondering if he has a cold on top of it all that is contributing to his extreme fussiness. Or maybe he is teething? Who knows, but the sleeplessness can be frustrating!! We just want our happy baby back!
Oh, and he weighed in at: 15 lbs 12 oz. He's getting big!

July 4th Slideshow

Okay, there was too many pictures so it was easier to just post a slideshow of today's events...

Happy 4th of July!

We went to the Brandon 4th of July parade and stayed as long as we could. It was VERY hot as expected during July in Florida. The babies (Gavin and Landon) were not too thrilled to be there. There were sort of tired and cranky at their very first parade. Landon lasted a little longer than Gavin, but by the end they were both asleep in their strollers.

My tongue has healed!

My tongue has finally healed and it looks "normal" as you can see in the pictures below. There is no more indentation in the middle. Mommy was so excited to see me sticking it out again!
