It may just be coincidence, but Gavin said "Mama" twice to me yesterday while he was "attacking" me by crawling on top of me when I was playing on the floor with him. Of course, it melted my heart even if he didn't really know what he was saying. I caught one of his "mamas" on video along with him pulling up on to the couch. I will have to post it on here later when I get home from work.
Gavin also learned how to stand in his crib today (according to Daddy). Apparently, he was so determined not to nap that he thought he would pull himself up and try to escape the crib "prison." He had a rough night in his crib last night. After many days of sleeping TONS and acting like the most perfect baby ever, he finally reminded us that night times can't always be so perfect. About an hour after we put him asleep he woke up screaming. He did that several times (crying inconsolably) until around 1:00 am. We tried everything from changing his PJ's, diaper, feeding him, teething tablets and eventually we even resorted to giving him Tylenol. That seemed to help a little and I think he slept from about 2am-7:30am. Hopefully he is not coming down with something. Being new parents, we don't always know whether it is behavioral, he is teething or getting sick.

Learning to pull up...
Now that Gavin is crawling, he is starting to pull up on things and stand. He usually does this with the couch and he tries to do it with his bumbo seat, but of course the bumbo is not tall enough. He doesn't know what to do once he is standing though and isn't sure how to get back down so he just falls (sometimes hard). We have to be careful with all the tile in our house. It makes Mommy and Daddy very nervous because he is still clumsy and unstable. I guess we need to invest in more foam mats, haha! Pretty soon we'll have a house made of foam!

8 months old today!
Gavin is now eight months old. I still can't believe it! Time is just flying by. Now he's crawling, sitting up, eating real food, and today after one of his naps he pulled himself up and was looking over the edge of the crib (to his knees anyway). I guess we have to lower the mattress now. It makes me so sad to think it will be on the lowest setting. That means he is growing up! What happened to my newborn? Another month and he will be outside of me as long as he was inside me! Weird!

... and here is a silly video clip just for the heck of it. Gavin and Mommy do this a lot during the day. We like to make funny noises back and forth...

Big Milestones!
Memories: Sears Photos
I just realized that I never posted Gavin's professional Sears photos on here. They are from when he is 4 months old, but I still want to share a few of them. He did such a great job that day with smiling. It was before his tongue tie surgery so he still had a heart shaped tongue and you can see it in some of the pictures. He was such a ham (still is)!!

Family Pictures
Thanks to our wonderful friend Natalie, we now have some pictures of the three of us! She did a great job! Especially considering it was hot, muggy and rainy out. We were a mess by the end of the photo shoot. Gavin also had a runny nose and cold so he wasn't in the best of moods. I'll post a few of our favorites:

He did it!

Leila's Birthday Party...
Happy birthday to my older friend, Leila! She turned 3 years old! What a big girl! Daddy and Aunt Tiff took me to her party and it was at a bowling alley. I tried bowling for the first time. It was hard for me to push that heavy ball. I am so glad Daddy was there to help me!!

Seaworld!
For labor day weekend we took a family trip to Seaworld. Grandma and Grandpa Pusztai, Aunt Lora, Uncle Garth, Katie, Bryce, Mom, Dad and I all went! We had a wonderful time. It is rare that all of us get together and do something. I got to see so many new things. I saw much bigger fish than the usual ones I see in my aquarium at home. I won't remember this trip when I am older, but Mommy took a few pictures and videos.
