Guess what today is?

Today is Gavin's 1 year and a half "birthday." We can't believe in 6 months our baby will be two. Mommy just needed an excuse to make this yummy cake (two layers of chocolate cake w/ chocolate pudding in the middle, buttercream frosting and drizzled with dark chocolate)... I didn't do too bad considering it was my first time doing a round layered cake. Looks aren't everything right?
Anyway, Gavin is getting so big (tall) and becoming such a funny little boy. He LOVES to be the center of attention and make everyone around him laugh. We went to Target (the "red ball" store according to Gavin) together to buy him a potty and a little present and he was, once again, jabbering and saying "hi" to everyone he saw. I think he tries to pull me out of my shell, haha! He is saying sooo many words now. There are probably too many to count, but I am going try to list them just so we have a record for his "baby blog book." I'll do that in a different post.
Here are some 18 month at home pictures from our day together...

Showin' some love!

Checking out the new potty...
You want me to do WHAT on this thing?

Rays Game!

I went to my first Tampa Bay Rays baseball game tonight. I made it through 7 innings before we decided to go home because I was tired! I had so much fun! I clapped when everyone else clapped and even sometimes when the other team scored. I didn't really understand that "wave" thing people were doing though. Daddy kept lifting my arms up for some reason! I also saw my cow friend again (the Chic-fil-A cow) and ate my very own hotdog.

Learning so much...

Cheeese!!!
Ahhhh! My baby is growing too fast and learning so much everyday. Today we were looking for one of his toys and couldn't find it so he kept saying "Uh oh, don't know" since we didn't know where it was! Everyday he is saying a new word and even sticking in some phrases here and there. Today he also said "outside?" when he wanted to go out instead of his usual "out." I was shocked to hear him say the whole word so clearly!

He definitely has a different personality than his Mommy! When we went to the store yesterday he was saying "Hi" to everyone then babbling in toddler speak to them and saying "bye" to everyone as we were leaving. Mommy isn't used to attracting so much attention while out. He isn't really shy at all as long as he knows I am not going to leave his side! But he does get clingy and nervous when we go to a new place and he is unsure of what is happening. He still cries every time we go to Aunt Lora's or Alice's house.

Eating at the table like a big boy!

Next American Idol Contestant....

Okay, so maybe not quite, but he is trying! I apologize for Mommy's bad voice....

Happy 4th!!

I had a wonderful 4th of July with my family (both sides). We started the day off by walking with "Nana" and "Papa" Parker to the local parade. The parade was pretty hot and sloowww going, but I did enjoy seeing the Chic-fil-a cow as I was shouting "MOOO!" Nana kept me occupied with food for most of the parade so I never became bored.

There is my favorite cow!

They caught me in the middle of eating a goldfish!
After that, I took a nap and then we were off to Aunt Lora and Uncle Garth's house. I got to play with my cousins (Katie and Bryce) and eat some yummy BBQ ribs. No one was surprised I liked the ribs so much. I am always a good eater!

"Didi" (Katie) was teaching me how to be more sensitive!

Mommy made this delicious flag cake!
