Something unusual happened on the night of January 15th. I was being squeezed and pushed downward...my head felt like it was being pinched. On January 16th around 8:30am, after about ten hours of being squeezed, I felt something grab hold of my head and suck me out very forcefully. I immediately gasped and started to shiver. My eyes were swollen and my head really hurt. Someone whisked me away and wrapped me up so that I could stop shivering. I kept crying and sucking on my familiar hand for comfort. The Doctor said I had a fever so I was sent to the NICU and put on antibiotics for 48 hours. The NICU Doctor told my Mommy I was very healthy and "vigorous." He couldn't get near me until I was fed because I was screaming so hard. When I am hungry or want something, I make sure EVERYONE knows! Mommy learned this quickly! I may be small, but I KNOW what I want.
