Last night I was singing one of Gavin's favorite songs "The Wheels on the bus go round and round" and he actually started moving his body to the beat of the song. It was sooo cute! Our little baby is starting to dance. He also stands up holding on to the side of the play pen and will "shake his booty" to the music playing on his toy aquarium. Sometimes I have to prompt him by shaking my own booty and then he will shake his to imitate Mommy. It is too funny!
His personality is becoming more evident every day. If Mommy or Daddy take a toy away from him or tell him "no" now he has started to protest by throwing little mini- tantrums. It just makes us giggle right now, but it might not be as funny when he becomes a toddler and starts to throw real tantrums. He is definitely a "passionate baby" (hence the name of this blog) with a strong personality at times. I can not figure out where he got that from...maybe Daddy? Although both of us are pretty laid back and low key as adults. I guess it's just the fiery personality that comes along with being a redhead.
We also discovered another unique thing about Gavin this week. We noticed, as his bottom teeth are coming in, that one of them has a notch in the middle and looks "funny." So after doing a little research, I have come to the conclusion that he has a "double tooth" or geminated tooth. Meaning his bottom baby tooth is growing in as a combo of two baby teeth with one root. So it is a little bigger than a normal tooth and it looks different. I am not 100% sure this is what he has because his tooth is not all the way in, but it really appears to be. Poor baby got some unusual mouth anomalies with his tongue tie, short upper lip frenulum (which will cause a space in his upper front teeth) and now a double tooth. Hopefully the abnormality won't be in his permanent tooth. We will probably have to take him to a dentist a little sooner than you normally would with a baby. Braces may be in our future!
